  • an overview of FutureGen 2.0;
  • a description of the FGA site selection process and schedule;
  • the information and documentation that site offerors must provide to respond to the RFP; and
  • the criteria that the FGA will use to select the CO2 storage site.

The FGA reserves the right to modify the RFP as needed. Any modifications or additional information for prospective site offerors will be posted on this website.

Responses to the RFP must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. CST on November 15, 2010, and must be submitted electronically. Further details and instructions can be found in the RFP.

A bidders meeting will be held on October 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CDT to explain the process and address questions. Prospective bidders may send up to 4 representatives per site to the meeting and must RSVP to SiteInfo@FutureGenAlliance.org with the names of attendees no later than noon CDT on Wednesday, October 27. Following the bidders meeting, there will be an open house for the public from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT to learn more about the FutureGen 2.0 project and its carbon capture and sequestration technology. These events will take place at Northfield Inn & Suites Conference Center, 3280 Northfield Drive in Springfield, Illinois.
