EPRI Report: The Power to Reduce CO₂ Emissions—the Full Portfolio

A new report by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) recognizes the potential for FutureGen to fundamentally change our nation's electricity infrastructure. The report notes the importance of testing and proving IGCC and carbon capture through FutureGen in order to make this combined technology commercially cost-effective. The authors indicate that, as part of a broader R&D portfolio, FutureGen could help reduce the cost of implementing a U.S. climate change policy.
